Attention juniors and seniors – the Center for Career Development, along with the Alumni Association, Hillel, Honors, CLAS, Senior Transition and Engagement Programs, and SUBOG/Synergy, is pleased to announce the Third Annual Professional Development Conference (PDC) will take place on October 11, 2014. This one-day event is designed to provide UConn upper-class students access to alumni and employers in a unique venue, one that is entirely focused on student’s career goals. In addition to the UConn departments listed above, Amica, Hanover, and Travelers are also sponsoring the event, with more employers signing on to participate. As these employers are secured, they will be added to the registration page.
The PDC will consist of presentations and workshops in the morning, followed by a lunch and interactive networking activity with 40-60 employers and alumni. Topics to be addressed include résumé writing, cover letters, interviewing, LinkedIn, navigating company culture, internships, the job search and developing your brand, online; employers and alumni will be co-presenting with the Center for Career Development staff. You can find out the details of the conference, as well as how to register, on this site: 2014 PDC Registration. Seating is limited, so be sure to register soon and secure your space.
And best of all, the conference is Free-yes, Free. You just need to register now.
