Next week is Internship & Co-op Week!

It’s not too early to think about internships! Join the Center for Career Development from January 30th through February 3rd for a week of internship and co-op related events. From an Internship Showcase & Bootcamp to the Internship & Co-op Fair, there’s bound to be something for everyone’s need and industry!

Monday, January 30th
Prepare for the Fair: Internship Showcase & Bootcamp
5-6pm, Wilbur Cross, South Reading Room
New to internships? Nervous about the Internship & Co-op Fair? Not sure where to start? Come learn from fellow UConn students who have interned across the country! Represented internship sites include the Connecticut Sun WNBA team, GE Energy Connections, Deloitte Consulting, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Hillary for America, and the Wildlife Conservation Society – and more! Employers will also be on hand featuring short 15 minute panels to help you prepare for the fair.

Tuesday, January 31st
Career-Ready Consignment with Bliss
6pm, @uconnccd Instagram Stories
Never think “I have nothing to wear” again! Four teams of 2-3 students will be selected to create internship-ready outfits at Bliss Boutique, located in Storrs Center. Wednesday, February 1st
Internship & Co-op Fair
11am-3pm, Student Union 3rd Floor
Ready to find your next internship or co-op? Dust off your suit, print your resume, and stop by the Internship & Co-op Fair! Over 60 employers will be on campus looking to meet with students from a wide range of majors with a variety of experience. Thursday, February 2nd
Now What? Following Up & Following Through
2-4pm, Wilbur Cross, Room 202
You’ve gone to the Internship & Co-op Fair and chatted with recruiters – now what?! Stop by anytime between 2pm and 4pm for help with follow-up emails, LinkedIn messages, and more!

Friday, February 3rd
Cookies, Cover Letters & Career Counseling
12-4pm, Wilbur Cross, Room 202
Internship & Co-op Week is nearly done – but your internship & co-op search has just begun. Stop by the Center for Career Development, grab a cookie, and chat with a Center for Career Development staff member about cover letters, how to find opportunities, and where to go from here!
