The Springfield College Division of Student Affairs invites undergraduate and graduate students to register for the Careers in Student Affairs Drive-in Conference scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2019. Ideal for aspiring Student Affairs/Higher Education practitioners, this informative drive-in conference will encompass multiple sessions throughout the day to best equip students with resources, trends, and knowledge about the future landscape of the field of Students Affairs in Higher Education. Highlights of the drive-in conference will include a session devoted to the jobs of the future in Student Affairs, effective job searching, cutting edge trends in the Student Affairs job search, and information about advanced and terminal degrees.
Over lunch, hear from Dr. Kevin Kruger, President of NASPA, who will serve as the keynote speaker who will present on the “Seven Trends for the Future of Students Affairs.” After lunch, several Vice Presidents for Student Affairs will host a panel discussion and will share lessons learned during their careers as Students Affairs professionals, in addition to providing tips and advice pursuant to what they look for when hiring professionals in the field and how to succeed and advance in the profession. The conference will conclude with a networking reception.
As students will see when reviewing the sessions on the drive-in website, the other portion of this conference is devoted to undergraduate students, students currently enrolled in student affairs/higher education graduate degree programs, and for other prospective candidates who aspire to become future student affairs/higher education leaders.
