You’ve Found Us! Welcome!

It’s a pleasure to welcome you to the Agriculture, Food and the Environment Career Community.  This site is devoted to helping you explore opportunities in the many career paths surrounding agribusiness, farming, sustainability, and environmental management.  In this community, you will find a variety of academic and career-related information that will help you develop better intentional awareness of your career options and career path. This information is updated constantly, so you can return regularly or sign in using your NetID and Password to receive alerts focused on your preferences.  Specifically, in this space you will find materials on:

Internships and jobs that are featured on Handshake, UConn’s job search database that is managed by the Center for Career Development.

UConn alumni outreach opportunities that enable students to connect with and be mentored by UConn alumni that have registered with the Husky Mentor Network.  Through this network, UConn students are able to interact with well-placed alumni who can, in turn, help decode the world of work and career management.  Alumni have already navigated through the college-to-work transition years, and they seek to support current students soon to be or currently engaged in that process.

Occupationally relevant blogs that are written by UConn alumni, students, Center for Career Development staff and representatives from companies that hire UConn students and alumni.

Organizations to consider joining, both student and professional in nature, to help enable you to gain more experience either on or off-campus.

By joining this community, you will receive regular email updates featuring jobs, internships, useful career advice and details on upcoming events tailored to your interests and that you can mark in your calendar.
