How to get the most out of the Live Career Conversations Networking Event

As we come to the end of the Advice and Perspective Series for this season, we invite UConn students and recent graduates to join us for a live, virtual networking event with alumni and friends of UConn.

On Thursday, June 25 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, students and recent graduates have the opportunity to speak with individuals who work in careers and industries that may interest them, including some panelists from the Advice and Perspective series. You will be able to schedule 10-minute conversations and ask questions about types of jobs, industries, network building, résumé and cover letters… anything career-related you’ve always wanted to ask!

The event is now “open” in Husky Mentor Network; you can select up to 12 sessions in various categories, including:

  • General Career Readiness & Exploration
  • Agriculture, Food and the Environment
  • Arts, Media, and Communication
  • Business, Finance, Sales and Marketing
  • Education and Social Services
  • Government, Public Administration, Law, and Non-Profits
  • Healthcare and Wellness
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Science, Data and Technology

To get the most out of this event, take a look at our Virtual Networking Event Checklist and Informational Interview Success Strategies Guide.

You can access all of the information for the event directly within the Husky Mentor Network platform by signing into your account and clicking on “Friends of UConn” at the top of the page. Click here for detailed instructions on how to book a one-on-one session specifically for this event.

We look forward to you joining us Thursday!
