Have You Thought about Grad School?

Remaining informed and determined in your academic or professional development is important to continue reaching towards long-term goals. Many graduates are unsure of what to do next, but one traditional route is attending graduate school. As a student pursuing a degree in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences especially, there are no limits to the type of degree you can receive. Encompassing a wide variety of subjects throughout the curriculum that provide versatility in critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills, helps students meet the challenges of graduate education, no matter the chosen subject of study. So why go in the first place? Having a deeper knowledge of a particular field, improving professional prospects, or nurturing curiosity and passion, are some of the main reasons students invest the time and effort.

Narrowing down the search, however, can be a fairly daunting process. That’s why the Center for Career Development is co-sponsoring the Graduate and Law School Fair with the Pre-Law Advising Office, Thursday, October 15. You don’t even have to wait until the day of to start scheduling sessions, sign-ups are open now. All majors and fields of study from the five campuses are invited to participate, encouraged to take this step to start planning for the future!
