The Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation has launched Traction to support UConn affiliated startup ideas as they work to validate the concept. Participants will learn the key elements of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) and the lean startup methodology. Participants will engage in customer discovery efforts that will allow them to better understand the market they are entering and the value they plan to provide to key stakeholders in the process. The program includes one-on-one coaching sessions, interactive webinars, customer interviews, and next-step resources.
Participants will:
- Learn the most critical elements of the Business Model Canvas
- Develop greater knowledge of the market they plan to enter and the path to entry
- Understand the individual customer segments they plan to serve and the value that they will provide to them
- Create a plan for next-step resources and milestones that need to be achieved
