Honoring Alan Thacker Busby: UConn’s First Black Graduate

Back in 1914, a young Alan Thacker Busby enrolled at UConn – then called the Connecticut Agricultural College – to pursue a degree in animal science. He would go on to be the only student of color in his graduating class and the first Black graduate at this university.
