Disability:IN NextGen Leaders

Are you an undergraduate student or a recent graduate? Do you self-identify as a person with a disability? Do you want to network with industry professionals interested in hiring workers with disabilities?

Disability:IN NextGen Leaders Initiative is a mentorship opportunity that matches students with a Disability:IN corporate partner. It runs from March to September of 2023. Leaders meet with their mentor two times per month and can attend monthly webinars on career development. To be eligible to apply, you must identify as either a current undergraduate student, law student, recent graduate (within the past two years), or graduate student from a United States college or university who self-identifies as someone with a disability. The time commitment is between four to six hours per month.

In addition to the mentorship component, leaders can access Disability:IN’s resume database. Similar to what we offer at the Center for Career Development, this database has many resources on how to write an effective resume. Once your resume is reviewed, you can upload it to the resume database, where corporate partners can search for potential candidates for their positions.

Lastly, NextGen leaders can apply to attend the annual conference on disability that takes place from July 10th through 13th in Orlando, Florida. Disability:IN covers NextGen leaders’ costs in full for attendance and participation.

Applications are open until January 6th. Visit the NextGen Leader Initiatives website to learn more and apply!
