Women’s History Month Spotlight: Christine Tao

Christine Tao founded Sounding Board in 2016. Sounding Board is an online platform that teaches corporate leadership skills and offers virtual leadership development workshops for corporate offices. Prior to founding Sounding Board, Christine worked for TapJoy and quickly rose up the ranks. She credits this success to the co-founder of Sounding Board, Lori Mazan. Christine had attended UC Berkley for her undergraduate business degree and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for her MBA, but she didn’t feel that she got solid leadership skills from her education at those top institutions. Lori taught her leadership skills, which helped Christine to quickly expand her career. This mentorship inspired Christine to create Sounding Board, sparking a desire within herself to make leadership coaching more accessible. Sounding Board’s board is also made up of a team of women in addition to being woman-led.
