Storrs Spring Career Fair Recap

The Storrs Spring Career Fair was a huge success with over 900 students who stopped by to connect with the 150 employers in attendance. With job and internship opportunities for a wide variety of majors, there was something for everyone.

The Careers for the Common Good Concourse featured jobs involved with social responsibility, community engagement and more. Natalie from the Travelers Institute at Travelers shared that they have many different opportunities for students. There are people on her team with a background in political science, economics, finance, communications, among others, all working towards the common good in corporate America.

It wouldn’t be a career fair without a LinkedIn photobooth, and 145 students took advantage of the service. These headshots are perfect for students to use as a LinkedIn profile picture or on any other professional network.

Overall, students and employers were able to make great connections with one another. Many students were able to have their questions answered and got their résumé into the hands of companies they are interested in working at.
