If you’re familiar with the Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills (you’re on our site, so we hope you are!), then you’ve likely done something in Handshake. Maybe it’s researching employers attending a career fair. Perhaps you have scheduled an appointment with a Career Coach to review your LinkedIn profile. Or possibly you were searching for a job and wondered to yourself, “Why do I have to log into a different website to find job openings on campus?” Well, starting this July, that will no longer be the case!

We are excited to announce our partnership with 12twenty, your new one stop shop for all things Career Center! Starting Monday, July 7 you will be able to:

  • Make an appointment with a Career Coach
  • Find and register for Career Fairs and events
  • Connect with UConn partner employers and search for opportunities
  • Download résumé templates exclusive to UConn students
  • and more!

What’s more, we have partnered with UConn Student Employment to bring on-campus jobs to 12twenty. No more need to use a different website to find and apply for student employment and work study positions. This is available to you now!

All students currently enrolled in a program at UConn, including incoming first-year students, can you their NetID to log into 12Twenty and start exploring. Your existing Handshake account will be available until Friday, August 8. Handshake users that are not currently enrolled in a program at UConn will not automatically have access to 12twenty. Information regarding how to request access to the new 12twenty platform will be provided in the coming weeks.

Things to do in Handshake before August 8:

  • Log in to Handshake and take note of any communications you’ve had with employers in Handshake
  • Take note of jobs of interest and jobs you’ve applied for in Handshake
