How Quinncia Took My Résumé to the Next Level

As the Career Fair got closer, I found myself thinking about whether my résumé was really ready to hand to recruiters. I’ve spent time building my experiences, but I wanted to make sure they came across clearly and impactfully on paper. That’s what led me to try Quinncia, an AI-powered career readiness platform that reviews résumés and gives instant, detailed feedback.

When I uploaded my résumé into Quinncia, I was impressed by how thorough the feedback was. The system evaluates résumés across three categories, General, Formatting, and Content, and assigns both individual scores and an overall score. This breakdown made it easy to see where I was already strong and where I needed to improve. For instance, my formatting was one of the highest-scoring sections, while the content category highlighted areas where I could add more specific, results-driven details.

Another feature I found valuable was Quinncia’s use of flags and suggestions for improvement. The tool highlighted certain bullet points that were too broad or repetitive and recommended ways to strengthen them, such as adding measurable outcomes. Each flag included not just what to fix, but also why it mattered, like explaining how metrics demonstrate impact to employers. That extra context gave me steps I could immediately apply right away.

What makes Quinncia stand out is that it doesn’t just identify weaknesses, but it gives clear explanations and strategies to address them. For example, when suggesting I add numbers to highlight results, it also described how that helps my experiences stand out to employers and aligns with what recruiters look for in strong résumés. This made the feedback feel more like coaching than just critique, which made the process less stressful.

Now that my résumé has been reviewed and refined through Quinncia, I can confidently take the next step: scheduling an appointment with a Career Readiness and Life Skills coach to tailor my improved résumé to specific job descriptions. Quinncia gave me a much stronger foundation to work from, and I feel more prepared to present my experiences in the best way possible at the Career Fair.
