Alexis Cortes

Graduate Assistant

Alexis Cortes (she/her/hers) is the Careers for the Common Good Graduate Assistant at the Center for Career Development. In this role, she works collaboratively with Community Outreach Programs, Services, and Initiatives and the Human Rights Institute in order to expose students to socially-responsible vocations in industries that range from public-service & non-profits, to benefit corporations and social enterprises. In particular, she manages the annual Careers for the Common Good Career Fair where students have the opportunity to network with several employers and organizations that focus on serving the greater good.

Alexis graduated in May 2020 from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science. She is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration through UConn’s Department of Public Policy at the Hartford campus.
