Jennifer Grunwald

Career Consultant, School of Fine Arts

Jennifer Grunwald is a Career Consultant and Program Manager for the Career Intern Program at the Center for Career Development. In this role, Jennifer is responsible for all recruiting, hiring, and the comprehensive training of 14 Career Interns who act as student paraprofessionals providing résumé critiques to peer undergraduates and delivering Center for Career Development presentations. She also delivers and manages training for the Practice Interview Program. Jennifer continues to meets with students by appointment and through walk-in delivering counseling services for major/career exploration; résumé and cover letter writing; internship, job search and grad school search; interviewing, and additional career development topics.
Jennifer received both her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies (2002) and Master of Arts in Education: Higher Education & Student Affairs (2007) at the University of Connecticut. Prior to completing her graduate studies, Jennifer worked in a corporate setting for 5 years at Aetna and later Lincoln Financial Group in both Client Services and Business Communications. She transitioned to a career in higher education in 2007 accepting a position at Three Rivers Community College in Norwich, CT as an Educational Assistant: Research & Accreditation Coordinator working heavily with nursing 1st and 2nd year students. In 2009, Jennifer began her work in the Center for Career Development as the Internship Resources Consultant and later took on the role of Career Counselor.
