How have you personally used and benefitted from the Center for Career Development?

When I started my journey at UConn, I had little to no idea what path I was going to take. After learning about the incredible opportunities that the Center for Career Development provides, I began to utilize their great resources, including the Major Experience, the Major Elimination Activity, and the Career Communities. Because of these resources, I have since decided to apply to the Business School as a Management Information Systems major in the fall. I am excited to continue to build my brand and expand my network with the help of the Center for Career Development.

What are your future career goals?

My future goal is to work for an organization that impacts the world in a positive way.

What are some extracurricular activities you are involved in?

I am a member of the CHAARG (Changing Health, Attitudes, + Actions To Recreate Girls) club. I love being active and this club was a great way for me to meet people.

What is something unique about you?

In 2020, I won a National Billboard Design Competition through the organization Project Yellow Light. My billboard aligns with the mission of the organization: to encourage the youth to develop safe driving habits. My design was displayed among 1,000+ billboards worldwide. I now act as a spokesperson for Project Yellow Light, speaking on radio shows and podcasts.

What would you say to a student who has never visited the Center for Career Development before?

The Center for Career Development is a top award-winning Center! Take advantage of the multitude of resources and services that are right at your fingertips. Career is a continual process, and everyone takes their own path. The Center focuses on meeting you where you are as an individual student, and not where you are “supposed to be.”
