How have you personally used and benefited from the Center for Career Development?

The coaching sessions helped me realize that I was capable of achieving my career goals. I learned about new opportunities through Handshake, and learned how to polish and edit my resume during resume critiques. I also took advantage of the many webinars to build on my professional and networking skills.

What are your future career goals?

After graduation, I would love to spend some time working in research, then go back for graduate school.

What are some extracurricular activities you are involved in?

I am a research assistant studying LGBT people, mindfulness, and social psychological aspects of COVID-19.

What is something unique about you?

I have steered an airplane before!

What would you say to a student who has never visited the Center for Career Development before?

I understand it can be intimidating the first time. However, once you make your first appointment, you will find that everyone is so kind and really wants to help you. You will likely find resources you didn’t even know you needed and make long term connections on campus.
