How have you personally used and benefitted from the Center for Career Development?

It all started when I was a freshman and completed the group resume workshop. After many more individual resume critique appointments I felt prepared to apply for leadership and internship positions as a first-year student. I had the great opportunity to participate in the CLAS Career Ambassadors program last fall and was introduced to the supportive staff and student interns. I knew that I wanted to be a part of this team in a bigger role because of the impact the center has on so many students.

What are your future career goals?

I am exploring career options in Human Resources, specifically interested in a Talent Acquisition, University Relations, or Learning and Development role.

What are some extracurricular activities you are involved in?

I have been a member of the UConn Dance Company since freshman year and this fall I am serving as the External Affairs Chair!

What would you say to a student who has never visited the Center for Career Development before?

The hardest part about visiting the Center for Career Development is bringing yourself to make the appointment. Once you are introduced to the wonderful resources the center has and speak to one of our student interns or staff, everything will start to come together. We will do everything we can to support you in taking charge of your unique career journey!
