Meet Kaitlyn Bruneau, a licensed clinical social worker and is currently a senior cognitive behavioral therapist. She is a UConn Alum from the class of ’13 graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. The month of November is Native American Heritage Month! To celebrate, today we are highlighting U.S. Representative Sharice Davids. Representative Davids is the first Native American woman elected to represent Kansas’s 3rd congressional district, the first openly LGBTQ+ person elected to the U.S. Congress, and one of the two first Native American women to be elected to Congress, winning the 2018 Congressional elections in Kansas and being inaugurated in January 2019.

Meet Sara Gallo, a First Gen graduate who received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences this May. She shares her experiences with us about navigating her career path within the healthcare field.

LaChana Flanders (she/her) M.S., CCC -SLP graduated UConn in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, and went on to receive a Master’s of Science degree from Pace University in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2020. She is now the founder of Valiant Speech & Language Solutions.

Amayia Cordova is a senior double majoring in Mathematics and an Individualized Major in Healthcare Analysis. After graduation, Amayia will be joining The Hartford as a Group Benefits Underwriter.
