Career Center Internship Courses

Application for Center for Career Development’s Internship Courses: UNIV 1981 and 1881

Complete the online application as thoroughly as you are able. Applications must be received prior to the internship starting (allow time for processing). *Internships occurring during the fall or spring terms have through week 6 to register; internships during the summer term have through June 30th to register. *In the summer, non UConn students who are CT residents or attend a college in CT may apply for the one-credit course.
The one-credit course has administrative paperwork for the intern and employer, as well as weekly assignments related to career readiness; the zero/no-credit course has administrative paperwork for the intern and employer, as well as a one career readiness and reflection assignment at the end of the course.
UNIV 1881 and UNIV 1981 may each be taken twice. If you have already done so, reach out to the Career Center internship team to discuss other departments that offer internship credit if you are seeking that option. If you have taken it once before and are returning to the same employer, the work performed must be different or more advanced. Describe how the work will be different from the first experience, in the internship description text box.
