Join UConn alum and Human Resources leader at TikTok, Clinton Lo-Lau (B.S. in Psychology and Business Minor, ’10) who will be passing along a message of hope and inspiration to UConn graduating seniors, and fellow Huskies. Clinton’s experiences at UConn and beyond will show you the positive impact intrinsic motivation can have on your career journey. You will also have a better understanding of “planned happenstance,” where it is ok to not always plan, because unplanned events could lead to great careers!
Speaker Bio: Clinton Lo-Lau is a human resources (HR) leader with over ten years of experience working for multinational corporations. Born in New Haven, CT and starting off in New York City, his career has provided him the opportunity to live and work internationally as well, having spent five years abroad in both Dubai and Geneva (always advocating for New Haven pizza in his travels as a Connecticut native). Clinton has a passion for understanding and enabling people in organizational settings, and holds a B.S. in Psychology as a UConn alumnus and an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from NYU. He currently works at TikTok after having spent nearly ten years with PepsiCo covering multiple fields within HR including analytics, business partnering, strategy, talent management, and organization development. Despite several years away, Clinton still has that husky pride and is excited to engage with UConn’s graduating class.
