Networking for International Students
Does starting a conversation with people you don’t know feel awkward? Wondering how networking works in the U.S., at career fairs, during a summer internship, with professors, etc.?
Join us for an in-person, interactive workshop designed especially for international students (undergraduate and graduate). This is a supportive space to learn, practice, ask questions, and build confidence.
In this workshop, you will:
• learn what networking really means;
• begin to create an effective “elevator pitch” (a 30-60 second narrative about you);
• learn about networking etiquette;
• be able to ask questions in a caring environment.
This event is sponsored by the Center for International Students & Scholars and the Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills.
