Description of Internship Site: Nutmeg Publishing is a student run publishing club that visualizes and creates content for the Nutmeg Yearbook and Nutmeg Magazine. The Nutmeg Yearbook has been published since 1915. It features everything from student life and important events to individual portraits of the graduating seniors. The Nutmeg Magazine has been published since 2015. It is a free online magazine with articles on student life and UConn culture.

Description of Internship Position: Staff writers will attend and write copy on campus events for the Nutmeg Yearbook and Nutmeg Magazine. This provides writers with portfolio work, and grants them access to exciting events such as the spring concert, speakers, etc via Nutmeg’s press passes. Writers must attend a weekly 30 minute meeting with the writing team and have the ability to attend events, meet quick submission deadlines, and work with the Copy Editor to edit and finalize copy within 1 week of the event.
