Career Counseling

Career Counseling consists of one-on-one sessions with a career consultant during which the student receives advice on a variety of topics including career options, searching for a job, and everything in between. Masters students interested in meeting one-on-one with a career consultant can begin by stopping by the office for a 20 minute walk-in session. Based on the outcome of this first meeting, arrangements for more in-depth follow-up meetings can be made. Typical advising sessions focus on:

  • Self-Assessment
  • Exploring Careers
  • Writing Résumés, CVs and Cover Letters
  • Preparing for Interviews
  • Effectively Using Social Media for the Job Search
  • Job Search Tips and Strategies
