About the Company

Dispeker Artists has been a leading classical music artist management firm since 1947. The firm was founded by the late Thea Dispeker who represented some of the most notable names in classical music, including Richard Tucker, Martina Arroyo, Judith Blegen, Roberta Peters, Jan Peerce, Hermann Prey, Pablo Casals and Wieland Wagner among many others.

Dispeker Artists enjoys an extensive market in the United States, Canada and Europe with recent expansion to Mexico, Central and South America and Asia. We proudly represent a diverse roster of distinguished artists including conductors, instrumentalists, opera and concert singers, ensembles and special projects.

About the position

Dispeker Artists, based in downtown Manhattan, is seeking a dynamic Booking Representative/ Booking Agent for its distinguished roster of classical artists (instrumentalists, chamber ensembles), vocalists/ concert singers and special touring projects in concert halls, performing arts centers, theaters, festivals and with symphony orchestras throughout North America.

The duties include establishing, developing and maintaining a broad range of presenter contacts within the North America territory in order to secure engagements for roster artists, negotiating fees, discussing programs, administering contract management and serving as liaison for engagement logistics coordination.

Candidates must have a broad spectrum of knowledge and appreciation for the performing arts and classical music. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to engage in conversation and relay interest, passion and excitement when securing engagements for the roster of artists. Prior experience in booking/sales, performing arts/theatrical presentation, marketing, management and/or production, as well as a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree relating to the field would serve this individual well.

We are looking for bright individuals with excellent written and oral communication skills, who possess a positive attitude and serve as a strong representative of the company in person and on the phone. The candidate should have passion and proficient knowledge of classical music and interested in arts management as a career. The ideal candidate should be efficient, detail-oriented, highly motivated and able to work calmly and effectively under pressure. The job can be very demanding and requires individuals with resilience and perseverance.
