Job Title: Funding Closer
Job Summary:
The Funding Closer is responsible for preparing and reviewing closing packages, ensuring all documents are accurate and compliant with company policies, federal and state regulations, and investor guidelines. The role requires close coordination with referral partners, underwriters, portfolio manager and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely closings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review approvals and closing conditions to ensure all stipulations are satisfied prior to closing.
- Prepare and assemble closing documentation, including Closing Disclosure (CD), note, and other applicable forms.
- Coordinate with referral partners and merchants to schedule and finalize closing.
- Perform funding calls to go over terms of the contract.
- Review month-to-date bank statements to assure revenue and run rate are consistent with what we approved.
- Confirm funding availability and ensure wire instructions are properly followed.
- Verify terms, interest rate, fees, and other key details are accurate and compliant.
- Perform quality checks on documents before and after closing.
- Resolve discrepancies or issues that could delay or prevent closing.
- Ensure deals are closed and funded in accordance with internal policies and requirements.
- Maintain thorough and organized records of all closing documentation.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Develop a strong understanding of Funding merchants, processes, and regulations.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and sales skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be comfortable with using technology and financial software.
