The Synchrony Digital Technology Center located in UConn focuses on advancing our internal capabilities in artificial intelligence, data science, and other digital and emerging technology domains to create long-term value for our customers. The interns in the program will work closely with our Innovation Station and SMEs to deliver projects for our business stakeholders.
Projects can range across multiple disciplines such as basic market and technology research, big data analytics, proof-of-concept creation, data visualization, and software development.

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY (DTC) INTERNSHIP @ UConn Stamford & Storrs:
In the Business Internship at Synchrony, you’ll work closely with our teams to identify and implement breakthrough changes.
These assignments offer an array of opportunities to gain valuable hands-on experience. You’ll have opportunities across different areas of our team, giving you unique perspectives on how Technology fits into the broader business landscape – for example:
- Work on specialized projects to help Synchrony further our capabilities in Data, Enterprise Operations, Technology, and more.
- Work within Agile teams to perform discovery, prioritize work, and identify opportunities to make large-scale changes.
- Provide project support, road-mapping, reporting, and training and development.
- Provide a flexible, can-do mindset that will adjust to new projects quickly and help execute key initiatives within the organization.
The internship will be spent working side by side Technology experts where you will apply your theoretical knowledge to complete challenging technical projects. Exposure to these real-life technical projects will accelerate your career and develop your skills in a cutting-edge global environment.

- Based on performance, interest, and availability, interns would have the opportunity to continue their internship with us during the school year in a part time capacity at our UConn Stamford or Storrs campus locations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be registered as a full-time student at UConn Stamford or Storrs in 2026 and in the future
- Excellent academic record – Minimum overall 3.0 GPA or higher (Please indicate your GPA and graduation date when applying)
- Must be willing to commit to 40 hours of work per week during the summer in Synchrony’s HQ located in Stamford, CT.
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:
- You must be 18 years or older
