Women on Change (WoC) is a nonprofit organization working to assist girls in inner cities and rural America, from 3rd grade to college become fluent in their ability to seize and create opportunities through project based mentoring.
Who do we support: We are recruiting 30 girls (under 25 years old) who have never had a mentor in the following States (DC, MD, VA, DE, TX and WV) for our Girls Courage program – which focuses on helping females gain hands on entrepreneurship through collaborative project based mentoring.
When do we do it: September – July | Commit virtually twice a month and willing to convene in person during the summer in one of the following States (DC, MD, VA, DE, WV, TX).
What do you need to qualify: Speak English, live or lived in urban and rural America, you never had a mentor, willing to mentor elementary -High students, able to work in groups, a plus if you are bi-lingual, have internet access, pursuing STEM majors, have laptop and commit to succeeding in all you do with a winning attitude.
