Job Application for Envision 2025 Summer Employment (All Roles) at WorldStrides

Held on the campuses of top-ranked engineering schools in the country, NYLF Engineering is an immersive and hands-on opportunity for high school scholars to gain real-world career exposure to multiple professional opportunities in the expansive field of engineering. Scholars will learn from highly accomplished engineering students as well as professional engineers. Scholars will also participate in a true-to-life engineering design challenge that will strengthen their design and product pitch skills, all while collaborating to solve a real-world problem. This year, students select from the 17 different Sustainable Development Goals, set by the United Nations, to design and build products using skills and knowledge gained from workshops throughout the week.

NYLF Engineering & Technology High School Student Program | Envision

As an Advisor, you will help to create life-changing moments by using Worldstrides’ curriculum to instruct and mentor high school students interested in the Engineering field.

Advisors:

· Embody WorldStrides values and demonstrate best practices to all team members, participants, and their families

· Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all participants

· Prepare participants for each day’s activities

· Effectively deliver 6 – 10 hours of curriculum according to pre-written lesson plans provided daily

· Serve as a positive leader, mentor and role model for all program participants

· Implement and utilize positive and constructive instructional and behavioral management strategies

· Be knowledgeable of policies and procedures and assist in their enforcement

· Attend and actively participate in staff meetings

· Conduct regular attendance checks throughout the program

· Submit completed paperwork and program materials in a timely fashion, including but not limited to scholar surveys

· Assist with program logistics as needed (i.e. check-in on Arrival Day, unpacking supplies, loading and unloading supplies at program sites)

· Work closely, cooperatively, and amicably with all team members

· Engage positively and productively in the feedback loop based upon feedback received from family and scholar surveys, supervisors, and team members

· Perform other duties as designated by the program leadership
