    This panel will highlight the voices of Black students at UConn who have conducted research at the institution on subjects outside of STEM in order to support students who have a less common experience with research.     Having an internship, or internship-type of experience, during your graduate program is a great way to diversify and apply your skills, knowledge, and perspectives, while also enhancing your value to a future employer. Did you know that the job offer rate of employers extending offers to their interns is about 80%? While incorporating an internship, along with completing your graduate program might seem like a massive undertaking it may also yield a great return – a job offer!

    At this session hear firsthand from UConn graduate students who have successfully incorporated internships or internship types of experiences during their graduate program. They will share the “how-to” tips, challenges, and benefits they experienced.

    The Summer 2022 UConn project-based micro-internship program may offer you an opportunity to use your skills to complete a project for an on-campus department while also learning from higher education professionals.

    Come and join the online info session about the Project-based Micro-internship Program for summer 2022. During this session you will hear about what a micro-internship looks like from doctoral alumnus Emma Bjorngard Basayne ‘18 Ph.D., as well as gain a preview of the application process.
