The terms coaching, advising, and counseling are often used interchangeably, but there are nuanced differences between the three. These differences can cause one approach to be more effective than others in different situations or with different students. In this session, we will review the differences between these three approaches to working with students as well as some introductory coaching techniques you can incorporate into your work. The content in this session will be based on the training required for the Board Certified Coach credential.
