Launch Your Startup with Summer Fellowship

Do you want to spend your summer working on a business you created? How about receiving a $15,000 award for your business, $5,000 of which you can elect to take as a stipend for the summer?

The Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation has opened up the application for this year’s Summer Fellowship Program! Summer Fellowship is UConn’s startup accelerator program and is an immersive entrepreneurial experience open to anyone affiliated with UConn (students, faculty, staff and alumni). The program takes place the first week of June through the first week of August. Startup teams spend 3 days a week over 8 weeks taking a deep dive into their business with the support of mentors, industry mentors, and experienced entrepreneurs. These sessions help educate program participants on how to define their business, build their brand, and launch their venture, all while building a community with the other entrepreneurs participating in the program.

Summer Fellowship is CCEI’s flagship program and has prepared startups to launch their company, generate revenue, raise funding (grants, investments, etc.), and be accepted into next step opportunities such as incubators and accelerator programs.
Each team will receive $15,000 for their venture.

Apply today! Application Deadline is March 5, 2021

If your application is reviewed and you are selected as a finalist, you will be asked to present a short pitch on what your project or company idea is in front of a panel of judges who will be selecting which teams participate. This virtual team pitch is scheduled for March 23rd, 2021. For more information, contact: Jen Murphy at jennifer.murphy@uconn.edu
