Apply for funding for your Summer 2021 experience!

This Opportunity Fund has been developed by the Center for Career Development to support Huskies’ unpaid and minimally paid experiential learning opportunities. The Opportunity Fund is open to Sophomore and Junior First Gen students. Qualifying experiences include and may not be limited to internship or co-op-related expenses, job shadows, attending conferences, participating in interviews, engaging in training sessions, starting a business, and other professional development opportunities. Experiences must be in your career field of interest and must feature quality supervision and/or a career-development component but need not be directly related to your major or academic program. Experiences will be reviewed by the application review committee.

Applications are due by Wednesday, April 21st; if all funds are not allocated, applications received after the 21st will be accepted on a rolling basis, until that summer’s allocated funds are exhausted. Students that identify as first-generation are eligible to apply. At UConn, a first-generation student is an individual whose parent or guardian did not attain a bachelor’s degree.
