Learn New Career Skills Virtually This Summer!

With summer quickly approaching you may find yourself wondering, is it too late for me to find a meaningful career experience? And the answer is, of course not! There are wonderful opportunities still available for you to gain experience this summer that would make excellent additions to your resume, as well as expand your mind and network. They might just look different than a typical internship or part-time job, however, the experience can possibly lead you down the career journey meant for you.

Participating in a summer program, registering for virtual workshops, and applying for externships are all valuable ways to gain exposure to people, employers, and career paths.  Although you will not be paid, the experience can pay you in different ways.  You’ll learn about a company, gain a new skill, grow your LinkedIn network, and show future employers you engaged in a meaningful career experience. Below are just some examples of opportunities that you may find worthwhile exploring.  Registration is currently open.

If you’re interested in any of the opportunities that are talked about in this article, remember that you can still make virtual and phone appointments with Center for Career Development career coaches via Handshake all throughout the summer.
