System Programmer/Analyst Intern

Overview
Alliant is seeking a Systems Analyst /Programmer intern to join its Sales Operations team. This position is responsible for partnering with the Client Services and Account Management teams to ensure the timely and accurate execution and QA of outbound production delivery services. The ideal candidate will be organized and have the ability to think analytically. This is a tremendous opportunity for an individual with a career interest in big data technologies and data-driven marketing who wants to be a key member of an innovative team.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Develop custom data solutions for ad hoc requests
- Develop metadata driven automations
- Schedule, execute, traffic, and QA production jobs
- Map and load incoming data files to Alliant standard inputs
- Build, monitor, document and optimize production processes
- Liaise with the Client Services team to ensure outstanding customer service
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Computer Science major or related field
- Critical thinker and problem-solver capable of strict attention to detail
- Experience with various data transfer methods (GoAnywhere, sFTP, Filezilla, ws-ftp, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Superior organization, documentation, and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Experience using job scheduling tools (e.g. ActiveBatch) a plus
- Experience with Linux and Windows scripting a plus
- Experience with SAS and SQL databases a plus
- Experience with ETL development tools a plus
- Experience in Direct Marketing or related coursework a plus
- Motivated self-starter, able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be flexible, detailed, team-oriented and committed to having a good time while doing a great job
Work in a office setting (this is not a hybrid /remote role)
This role is paid between $17.00 and $20.00 an hour and is based on site in our Brewster, NY office.
