Centreville Bank is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Community Development Intern. This position will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside a high-performing team, give you exposure and understanding of the Bank’s Community development initiatives. The role will give you the opportunity to see the direct involvement the bank has with communities that we serve. You will also gain exposure to the day-to-day leadership and business operations of a community bank. This Internship will help prepare you to start your career upon graduation and may lead to part-time and/or full-time career opportunities at Centreville Bank.
Duties & Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Community Development Team:
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on products and trends relevant to the bank’s community development initiatives. Particularly products and services for school-age and college students.
- Support the team with Community Projects: Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing community projects, such as financial literacy workshops, business or small business support.
- Outreach and Engagement: participate in engagement with local community organizations, non-profits, to build partnerships and collaborations. Help organize and attend community events, meetings, and outreach activities as appropriate.
- Social Media and Communication: Assist in managing social media and communication channels related to community development initiatives. Help create content, update websites, and engage with the community online.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, maintaining files and records, and responding to inquiries from internal partners.
- Learning and Professional Development: Take advantage of learning opportunities within the department and the bank as a whole. Attend training sessions, workshops, and networking events to enhance skills and knowledge related to community development and banking.
Required Experience/Qualifications:·
- Currently enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited college/university
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail
Scheduling and Availability:·
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week during normal business hours.
- The internship will take place from June 10, 2024, thru August 16, 2024.
