As an intern under our Senior Manager of Inventory for North America you will gain exposure to the flow of products being co-packed internally and then warehoused both internally and externally. You will participate in the monitoring and analyzes of internal and external warehousing while assessing key metrics including inventory level, delivery time, lead times, and order cycles. Additionally, you will gain exposure to product forecasts, sales force forecasts, competitive information, and market conditions in order to optimize our inventory from a location, storage, and cost perspective for our North American customers.
What You Will Do:
- Analyze and maintain visibility to regional inventory, including finished goods, bulk, WIP, components, and raw materials.
- Identify and monitor inactive, excess, and overstock (SLOB) inventory and propose actions to reduce if/when possible.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions of excess inventory in partnership with Global Supply Chain and/or the NAM Commercial organization.
- Assist in inventory deployment across the regional network of storage locations.
- Partner with manager to ensure full inventory accuracy within region.
- Analyze and propose external inventory dispositions, based on customer-supplier contracts regarding excess and obsolete products.
What We Are Looking For In You:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Exposure to and use of PowerBI/Tableau preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced in Microsoft Office software programs
- Effective time management skills
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and accountability
- Interest in Supply Chain, Business Management, Technology, or Engineering
