Responsibilities:
A Streaming and Church Audio Video Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the audio and video aspects of church services or events are executed smoothly for both in-person attendees and online viewers. This role combines technical skills with an understanding of the church’s mission and the need for a seamless worship experience. Here are responsibilities for this role:
- Equipment Setup and Shutdown: Set up and shutdown audio and video equipment, including microphones, TV’s, amplifiers and laptops.
- Ensure all equipment is in working order before each service or event.
- Adjust and manage sound levels to ensure clear and balanced audio quality during worship, sermons, music performances, and other events.
- Monitor and control audio feeds from various sources, such as microphones, instruments, and playback devices.
- Video Production: Operate video cameras and switchers to capture and stream live video of the service or event.
- Live Streaming: Set up and maintain live streaming equipment and software for online viewers.
- Troubleshoot streaming issues as they arise.
- Content Playback: Manage and cue up multimedia content, including pre-recorded videos, presentations, and lyrics for songs.
- Ensure timely and seamless playback during the service or event.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and address technical issues with audio and video equipment during live events.
- Work closely with the worship team, clergy, and other staff to coordinate audio and video elements with the overall service or event plan.
- Record and archive video and audio of services or events for future reference, distribution, or use in promotional materials.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for both equipment and personnel during events.
- Flexibility: Be adaptable to changes in service formats, technical requirements, and scheduling.
- Being a Streaming and Church Audio Video Assistant requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while understanding the spiritual and cultural context of the church or religious organization.
Requirements:
- Available each Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- For special services available to support streaming and in church audio visual, four to five times per year
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient with Windows based laptop and PowerPoint
- Preferred but not required, prior audio video experience
- Mature, collaborative and friendly.
- Very good problem solving and communication skills
- Be able to work independently.
