Job Title: Physical Therapist / Hand Therapy
Job Type: Part-time (Tue and Fri both available with one additional day; 12-16 hours per week to start, up to 24 hours per week if needed, potential to grow to full-time if interested. Flexibility with work schedule and days to meet candidates needs.)
Job Location: 99-52 66th Road, Rego Park, NY (Queens; outpatient clinic)
Responsibilities: Physical Hand Therapist responsibilities include …
- Assessing patients’ strengths and weaknesses.
- Devising creative treatment plans for individuals suffering from injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases.
- Provide excellent 1:1 care for your patients, spending an average of 40 minutes with each person.
- Helping patients restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
- Encouraging patients along the road to recovery.
- Medical specialties at the clinic include all hand therapy, with PT, CHT to supervise.
- Adults outpatient caseload.
Qualifications:
- NYS Physical Therapist License
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
- Basic computer skills
- CPR and first aid certification required
- 1 year of more of experience working as a licensed therapist in an ortho outpatient clinic with an interest in developing skills in hand therapy preferred.
- Must be familiar with treating upper extremity orthopedic conditions
Salary Description: $50.00 – $60.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
