Experience
- Previous camp experience and/or related experience with children are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Be a positive role model for campers by demonstrating honesty, responsibility, respect, and caring.
- Attend all camp staff trainings and meetings to learn new skills and connect with fellow counselors.
- Have fun and engage with campers in all areas of the camp day, from swimming and sports to arts and crafts and nature activities.
- Maintain a safe environment for campers while also encouraging them to try new things and take risks.
- Show enthusiasm for camp and encourage participation in all activities to help foster the intellectual, social, and physical growth of campers.
- Care for all equipment and supplies to ensure a smooth and enjoyable camp experience for everyone.
- Be flexible and willing to perform other duties as needed to support the camp program.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: climb, kneel, reach, push, swim, balance, crouch, stand, pull, grasp, repetitive motions, navigate stairs, stop, walk, lift a child, talk, hear, and sit.
The employee may occasionally need to exercise these physical labor demands: Exerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds of force frequently.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/far vision, ability to adjust focus, peripheral vision, depth perception, and field of vision.
Acute hearing is essential to this position.
