The Association of Environmental Health Academic Programs – AEHAP was created in 1999 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, with funding from the EH division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The vision was built around the all-volunteer National Environmental Health Science & Protection Accreditation Council to work through AEHAP to identify, recruit and support the accreditation process of additional EH degree programs. The goal remains to grow the number and diversity of those entering the workforce with an EH degree, prepared to care for and protect people of the communities where we live, work, learn and play.
At the core, AEHAP exists to champion Environmental Health Science Programs at colleges and universities across the country.
