Brothers Reaching Our Society (BROS) was established and recognized on the University of Connecticut (Storrs, CT) on December 11, 2009 by two young males; Armando Jimenez [Business Management ’13], and Eric Cato [Communication ’11].
In November 2009, Dr. Willena Price, Director of the Alfred H. Simons African American Cultural Center, approached both men and asked them to apply their leadership skills and inspiring personalities to revamp the former ‘Brother To Brother’ organization which had fell apart in the past years. Both gentlemen were flattered by Dr. Price’s appointment and were excited to change the face of the organization. This opportunity allowed for them to introduce a new brotherhood that would assist in growth of males as students, professionals, and people.
Starting off the organization with 13 official members, BROS continues to grow in members, partnerships, collaborations, and events to ensure progressive impact wherever needed.
