Specialized MBA Programs UConn Has to Offer

Here are the different specialized MBA programs that UCONN has to offer post-graduation:

Master of Science in Accounting

This program is ranked #7 in the nation and will help you prepare for your CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam. You will pick 9 courses of the 18 that are offered which allows you to tailor your education to your interests within accounting. It is fully remote. This MSA program also provides an additional 30 credit hours you will need to meet the 150-hour credit requirement to pursue a CPA.

Master of Science in Business Analytics and Project Management

This 37-credit degree program is offered full-time or part-time at UConn’s Hartford and Stamford locations. This program was ranked #9 of data analytics programs in the nation and exposes you to programming and coding platforms such as Python, R, SQL, Microsoft Excel, and more. With a combination of analytics, project management, and elective classes, you will get a whole new perspective to solve real-world business problems in your career.

Master of Science in Financial Risk Management

UConn’s financial risk management graduate program is for students interested in managing financial risks in the corporate world. The program can be completed in as little as 15 months with 36 credits or with an optional concentration in 19 months with 45 credits. 85% of graduates placed jobs within 3 months of completing their MS in FRM, having an average salary of almost $100,000.

Master of Science in Financial Technology (FinTech)

FinTech, or financial technology, refers to the latest software and technologies that automate financial services in business. UConn’s FinTech program is a 36-credit, 2-year program that can be taken at your own pace – part-time or full-time. FinTech may include Finance, InsurTech (insurance technology), MedTech (medical technology), and RegTech (regulatory processes in the financial industry). This program is new and booming as the FinTech industry will continue to grow over the next few years.

Master of Science in Human Resource Management

UConn’s MS in Human Resources is a 20-month graduate, part-time degree offered hybrid and fully virtual. This program was ranked #2 best online Master’s degree in Human Resources. The 33-credit program offers courses in 7-week increments and are taken one course at a time over an accelerated 20-month timeframe; these courses range from talent analytics and human capital to employment law and negotiation strategies.
