Becoming Career Ready through Courses – Critical Thinking

Critical Thinking

“My Marketing Research class – I felt that I had improved my critical thinking and logical reasoning during a semester-long group project where we did secondary research, a focus group, survey, data analysis, and reported out findings with regards to hypothetically trying to launch a product at the UConn campus. It required divergent thinking, problem solving, and certainly took time and effort.” – Lauren D.

“I was able to develop critical thinking skills while studying abroad in London. In one of my classes I was assigned a group project that forced me to think critically about how to develop a new brand and product based on prior information about organizations. Since I was also in a different country, I had to critically think about the cultural influences that might impact our assignment.” – Brynne B.
