It’s important that the majors, concentrations, and/or minors you’re pursuing are formatted correctly in the education section of your résumé. Use this resource to view how degrees, majors, concentrations, and minors should be formatted as well as a reference list (broken up by school/college) of the official name of each undergraduate major and concentration offered at UConn.

Degree Formatting

If you are pursuing a single major with no concentration or minor, your degree should be formatted as follows in the education section of your résumé:

<Degree>, <Major Name>  

Example:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Data Science and Engineering

If you are pursuing more than one major, a major with a concentration, and/or a minor, view the suggested formatting outlined below.

Degree with Concentration

<Degree>, <Major Name> 
Concentration: <Concentration Area> 

Example:
Bachelor of Fine Arts, Digital Media and Design
Concentration: Web/Interactive Media Design

Degree with Minor(s)

<Degree>, <Major Name> 
Minor(s): <Minor Name(s)> 

Examples:
Bachelor of Arts, Environmental Studies
Minor: Climate Science

Bachelor of Science, Business Administration
Minors: Public Policy & Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

Double Major

Dual Degree

Exploratory Student (ACES)

<Intended Degree>, Undeclared 
Emerging Academic Interest: <Major Name> (if decided)*
